DC48 is the only cylinder vacuum with a Dyson digital motor. This high-speed, power-dense motor enables the performance of a full size machine – from our smallest Dyson Ball™ vacuum. And it has been acoustically engineered to reduce noise levels and improve sound quality throughout the machine.

Seven years in development, the Dyson digital motor V4 is one of the world’s smallest fully-integrated 1050W motors. By integrating its mechanical, electrical and aerodynamic systems, Dyson engineers have created an efficient, power-dense package with a diameter of just 85mm. DC48 has only been made possible by the development of this motor.
